ABOUT
Photographer & Printer
My journey s a photographer started in 1968 as a young soldier stationed in Okinawa. This passion has never faded, but only grown and quickly included photographic printing. With access to a professional dark room, the now ancient skills of manually dodging and burning, emulsion formulas and drying drums started my addiction. Seeing an image come to life in the developer pan was pure magic. Fast forward a few decades and here I am, an enviable professional studio, computers and software, hi-res cameras and printers churning out custom giclée prints for local artists. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the face of a passionate artist when their creation is reproduced to a degree it is hard to distinguish from the original.
"There is nothing more satisfying.....", well I lied. Just as rewarding is having your photography featured in regional newspapers and magazines. Or better yet, portraiture used for album covers or marketing materials for stage productions.
